1.      NATIONAL BREED COUNCILS

1.2

The Australian National Kennel Council (A.N.K.C.) shall establish a sub-committee titled the “National Breed Councils Liaison Committee” for the purpose of registration of National Breed Councils, and to provide for them an avenue for dialogue with the A.N.K.C. 10.0pt;

The National Breed Councils Liaison Committee shall be comprised of one Delegate from each Member Body plus a non voting Chairman. (10/97)

The Chairpersons and Committee persons to be appointed annually at the first meeting of the A.N.K.C. Delegates each year.

A Working Party consisting of the Chairman and one other nominated person whoshall be appointed to handle liaison between meetings of the National Breed Councils Liaison Committee and shall be titled “National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party” and make recommendations to the National Breed Councils Liaison Committee. The National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party shall be responsible for scrutinising all matters submitted by the National Breed Councils, prior to their submission to the A.N.K.C. Conference for consideration, and in addition, may utilise the communication link for discussion on, projected changes to uniform procedures, amendments to breed standards, or any other matter on which the A.N.K.C. Conference may decide from time to time.

The National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party shall meet as and where necessary to consider all matters submitted by National Breed Councils, to the A.N.K.C. (5/99)

Any matter considered by the National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party to be of a nature peculiar to a particular State or Territory shall be referred to the Member Body of that State or Territory. Only matters pertinent to the breed in all States and/or Territories of Australia shall be considered for recommendation to the A.N.K.C. by the National Breed Councils Liaison Committee. (5/99)

All contact between the National Breed Councils and the National Breed Councils Liaison Committee shall be submitted in writing to the ANKC Administrator with a copy to the Member Body of the State or Territory in which the Secretariat is located. (5/99)

1.9

The National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party may if considered necessary, invite a representative, or representatives of the National Breed Councils to any meeting of the National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party for the purpose of discussion on any matter under consideration. (5/99)

1.10

Where it is necessary for an ANKC Delegate/s to attend a meeting which is a result of the internal affairs of a National Breed Council, the National Breed Council shall pay all expenses. (5/99)

The National Breed Councils Liaison Committee in conjunction with the National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party shall prescribe Regulations under which, after approval by the A.N.K.C., the National Breed Councils must conduct their affairs. (5/99)

The National Breed Councils Liaison Working Party may from time to time conduct combined Conferences involving National Breed Councils, with the approval of the A.N.K.C. (5/99)

All agenda items for submission to a National Breed Council Conference are to be sent via the National Breed Council's Secretary with proof that the items have been discussed and approved at a General Meeting of a Member Club of the National Breed Council. (5/03)
