The ANKC will establish a National Events Working Party for each ANKC approved discipline, which conducts National Events, other than for Conformation Shows. (Conformation Shows are approved by the National breed Councils Liaison Working Party. |

Each National Events Working Party shall consist of the Chairman and a nominated delegate of the particular discipline’s National Committee. |

The use of the word “National” in the name of an event is not permitted without the prior approval of the ANKC. |

4 |
Application for use of the word “National” must be lodged through the ANKC’S Member Body in the State or Territory in which the Event is proposed to be conducted, by the applicant to conduct the Event. |

When allocating National Event dates, the National Working Party shall take into consideration the permanent dates allocated by the various State member Bodies for the conduct of these type of Events. |

6 |
A National Event shall not be held on the same date as a Royal Show where it would preclude exhibitors from participating in both events. |

7 |
An application for approval by the ANKC to use the word “National” in the name of an applicant’s fixture shall be submitted in the following manner. |

i. |
The Original application from the organization requesting permission to use the word “National” in the name of their Event is to be lodged with the ANKC Member Body to which the organization is associated with, at least eighteen (18) months prior to the proposed date/s for the conduct of the event. |
|
ii. |
The ANKC Member Body shall then endorse and confirm the actual date/s and submit its written endorsement, together with a copy of the correspondence referred to in (i) above, including the venue/location of the National Event, to the ANKC Administrator. |

iii. |
The ANKC Administrator shall then immediately refer the application to the appropriate National Working Party for the discipline, for a recommendation to the ANKC Delegates Committee who will approve the application, or otherwise. |

If for any reason the National Working Party decides not to endorse the application, the National Working Party shall submit their reasons for rejection, in writing promptly to the ANKC Administrator who will refer the information to the organization seeking approval via their ANKC Member Body for reconsideration of their application. |

Approval to conduct a “National Event” shall not be granted, except in extraordinary circumstances, to the same organization in any State or Territory in succession. |

10 |
If approved, the organization conducting the event shall: |
|
i. |
Obtain approval of their National Event Schedule from their ANKC Member body at least (8) months prior to the National Event. |
|
ii. |
Notwithstanding Regulation 11. (i), obtain approval of their National Event Schedule from their ANKC Member Body prior to any advertising of the Event. |
|
iii. |
Advertise the Event in the official publication of each ANKC Member Body. The Member Bodies shall charge a maximum rate of $50.00 for this advertisement, the size of which shall be 9cm wide x 8cm deep. |
|
iv. |
Submit to the appropriate National Working Party evidence of the advertisement published in the publications at least six months prior to the conduct of the event. |

It is sufficient in the advertisement to state –
